The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is seeking comments on its proposed rule to designate and establish an experimental population of spring-run Chinook salmon in the Okanogan sub-basin in Washington. The purpose of the action is to aid in the recovery of ESA-listed Upper Columbia River (UCR) spring-run Chinook salmon. The comment period ends December 9, 2013. See link for further details:
