Greer Maier, Science Program Manager for the UCSRB, dissected two summer Chinook salmon from the Entiat National Fish Hatchery with children at the Apple A Day Learning Center ( 3-5 year olds) and in Ms. Springer’s 1st grade classroom in Wenatchee recently. The children learned about salmon and their habitats and then dissected the fish and learned how their organs work and how salmon are adapted to their environment. The children also learned about how they can help salmon and other fish species in their daily lives in NCW.
