The Washington Department of Natural resources (DNR) issued a report in October to the state legislature entitled, Eastern Washington Forest Health: Hazards, Accomplishments and Restoration Strategy (see report). The report documents the level of forest health hazard reduction treatment conducted in Eastern Washington over the past five years, and assesses eastern Washington restoration needs through 2020.
