Wenatchee –The 2018 forecast for adult Spring Chinook to the Upper Columbia was predicted to be approximately 20,100, but according to the fish passage center, only 7,067 made it above Priest Rapids Dam. This number represents only about 39% of the ten year average.

Last year in 2017, the US v. Oregon Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) spring Chinook forecast for the upper Columbia region estimated an adult spring Chinook return of approximately 19,300 fish, with an actual return of 7,268 spring Chinook (40.5% of 10-year average).
