The UCSRB created a Salmon Sightings and Spawning Areas Outreach Guide for the Region. In the fall, Summer Chinook are spawning in the Wenatchee area and Coho come back in the fall as well to spawn up the Icicle River near Leavenworth, so fall is a great time to get out with your family and view our local fish in their native habitat.
During spawning time, Summer Chinook can be viewed from the Confluence pedestrian bridge overlooking the Wenatchee River as well as in Leavenworth from Blackbird Island. They also spawn near Leavenworth and up to Lake Wenatchee.
