The 2016 Upper Columbia Science Conference will be held at the Wenatchee Convention Center, in downtown Wenatchee, WA. The Convention Center is conveniently located withing walking distance of downtown restaurants, coffee shops, shopping and other amenities. Conference organizers have reserved a number of small meeting rooms at the Center for use by attendees for break-out sessions. There will be facilities at the conference center to use if you are a nursing mother (private room and refrigerator).
The most convenient lodging for the conference is at the Coast Hotel across the street from the Convention Center. Call (509) 662-1234 to make a reservation. Unfortunately the room bock we reserved expired earlier this month.

Travel to and around Wenatchee
Located in the center of the state, Wenatchee is a short trip from nearly anywhere in the northwest. The Coast Hotel and Convention Center are 0.6 miles from the Amtrak station and 4 miles from Pangborn Memorial Airport. Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air has multiple flights daily between Wenatchee and Seattle/Tacoma International Airport. The Coast Hotel offers free shuttle service to and from the airport. The Wenatchee Valley Shuttle offers multiple rides daily between Wenatchee and Seattle.

Mission Ridge Ski and Board Resort, only 12 miles from downtown Wenatchee, is offering discounted lift tickets and rentals to conference attendees and their families for Friday, January 29th! Lift tickets are $35 (regularly $55) and rentals are $20 (regularly $35).
